Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) better known by her professional name Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing born in Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be associated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. On October 21, 2016 she debuted Pho, her first EP under the Dreamville Records label. It was at this point that she began to gain the attention of her peers. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio release was May 7th 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music onto the internet back in 2012 after she released her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in 2013. In 2014 she continued to release her music on the web, including her own release single Bound. The song was included in Omen's Elephant Eyes and from Sweat It Out, on July 21, 2015. J. Cole had her sing her songs to the Dreamville Team later that year as he wanted Rihanna to collaborate alongside her on some of the songs. In December 2008, it was announced that Rihanna had been hired with Dreamville Records. She was featured on the joint album Revenge of the Dreamers II in the track Backseat featuring Cozz. In the month of October the singer-songwriter released her debut EP, Pho. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change, and she performed on her own 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as an opening performance. The year 2018 saw Ari Lennox appeared on two tracks featuring EarthGang and EarthGang, on Nothing but the Best, as well as Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox's first album Shea Butter Baby was released on July 16, 2018. The first single, Whipped Cream The album's first single, Whipped Cream came out in September 5th, 2018, accompanied by a an accompanying music video. The second single she released was, Grampa on November 9. In November 2013, she released No One, and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby then made an appearance as a guest on Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. She released this single as a way to promote her debut titled Creed II on 26 February 2019. The 20th of February, 2019 a music video was made available for the track. The track has received nearly three millions views on YouTube in its first week. She supported the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour at the end of December 2018.
